Apple Oatmeal Sweetened with Cinnamon & Agave

This high energy breakfast is a dish best served cold. Whip up the ingredients before you go to bed at night and enjoy upon rising in the morning. You’ll love the natural honeyed taste of agave and stay full until lunch!

Ingredients: 
1/4 cup uncooked old-fashioned rolled oats
1/3 cup skim milk
1/4 cup low-fat Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon sunflower seeds
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons agave or honey
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
Instructions: 
  • In a small thermos or container that holds at least 1 cup, add oats, milk, yogurt, sunflower seeds, cinnamon and agave.
  • Cover container with a lid and mix until well combined. Remove lid, add applesauce and stir until mixed throughout.
  • Return lid to jar and refrigerate overnight or up to 2 days. Eat chilled.
